8th Grade with Kauluakalana

The 8th graders had a day of reflections on their time spent building pilina between ʻāina and kanaka. Kumu from Kauluakalana said, "I am convinced that these keiki are our guides to a hopeful future. They know when to hana and when to gather their thoughts to blow us away. I canʻt wait to see the future that is in store for these keiki as they take their leap into High School!"

"I remember the day that we had to harvest lau and cook and we got to see which different parts of hana we each thrived in." -Mailani

"I loved the day that we got to eat what is grown here, the food was so good!" -Keahi
