As we approach Spring Break, we would like to share our process for responding to the current situation with COVID-19 (Corona Virus). At Mālama Honua, we take the safety and well-being of our haumana, kumu, and ʻohana seriously. There have been no confirmed cases for any of our MHPCS ʻohana. However, in following guidance of the national Center for Disease Control (CDC), Department of Health (DOH) and direction of the Department of Education (DOE) we are enhancing our already existing cleaning and disinfecting practices to keep our community safe.
As we move forward, MHPCS will align with the DOE and DOH in response to COVID-19. In the most recent memo, the DOE has cancelled all out of state travel and MHPCS will also be cancelling any school travel to the U.S. mainland.
