We did so much this first week. The haumāna completed their NWEA baseline assessments, began focused on hoʻopaʻa ke kahua, setting the foundation for the rest of the school year. On Friday, we had a beautiful huakaʻi out to Kualoa, the birthplace of Hōkūleʻa. Haumāna had the opportunity to learn from Kānehūnāmoku Voyaging Academy and practice their ʻoli to strengthen their cultural knowledge for the year.
