Three of our 6th graders under the guidance of Kumu Mel Loo researched, coordinated, acquired funds from the Obama Foundation, and implemented the first of 3 planned stream restoration efforts. As participants in Ceeds of Peace these young leaders wanted to make a difference in their community and after getting feedback from their peers and further research they landed on helping Bellows to restore Puha. Their objective is to help heal the land and bring back native plants and animals. Hūlo Kailai, you did a great job leading the first clean up!
